Nobita is preparing a gift for Doraemon's birthday, but in an accident a premium Dorayaki damages Doraemon that he had previously bought. Nobita explodes by mistakenly saying that Doraemon is a useless robot. Enraged, Doraemon leaves with Doraemi for the future. But when he learns that he is going in for a medical checkup, he tries to overcome it by changing bodies with Dorami's, but fails. During a medical checkup, Denja, a wanted criminal, is brought to the hospital after robbing a bank and getting into a car accident. When he visits the hospital, he sees the replacement rope exposed from Doraemon's pocket, and replaces the body with Doraemon's. Danza, in the likeness of Doraemon, travels to the 21st century to pursue Nobita, while Doraemon, in Denja's body, is implicated in the crimes committed by the latter and ends up being arrested by the police and the Time Patrol. tries to escape. Can Doraemon go back to the 21st century and get his body back? And can Nobita recognize who the real Doraemon is?
